Our city center is a great place to walk - almost every building has its unique architecture and history. You will have plenty of time to take pictures and to observe the life of locals. First you get to the nearest subway station and have a subway ride to the city center.
The subway in St. Petersburg is very deep and almost all the stations are richly decorated. Bolsheviks called them palaces for common people. Taking this tour you will not only discover some interesting details about the stations that you’ll see but also have a chance to feel yourself Russian for a while, as about 3 million people in St. Petersburg use subway every day.
You get off at Vladimirskaya subway station and go to local farmers market. This is another way to see the every-day life of common people in St. Petersburg. Here you can taste and buy dairy products, fruits, vegetables etc. at local prices. Moreover, you may get significant discounts negotiating the price, but it’s not that simple as locals at the market usually don’t speak English!
After that you go to the Heystack Square where you'll see one of the malls of the city as well as business centers. You can either walk there or use public transport or a rented car.
This is just one of the options we offer but the route is designed individually, according to your wishes or you can just stroll along the streets looking for something that will catch your eye while our guide will comment on what you see.
Duration of the tour: 3.5 hours
Note: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. You can have time for souvenir shopping during the tour upon request.
